All: One last email...
First, why do we walk? For me, I do this in memory of my Mother, and in memory of our beloved Chorus member Steve McManus (Both died from the same type of Cancer). Additionally, I do this to honor those who are fighting cancer at this time, some who are winning the battle, some not so fortunate. This is my opportunity to make a little difference in the fight against cancer. We CAN make a difference.
Please note the Beverly McManus has once again joined our team. Please take a look at her donation site (Link from our ACS team website). She has posted a great picture of Steve, ...and the words to one of his favorite songs - I'm Sittin' on Top of the World. (Demaster - I sure hope we sing that on in memory of Steve - and for Beverly!)
Second, Still an opportunity to give! Please send this along to your friends and family - go ahead and ask for a small donation! They can give through our secure site at the following URL:
Third - Let's walk! For those of you who have signed on to the team, I am asking you to consider walking for an hour around the track! Ray has already signed up for anywhere from 12pm - 6pm. So he is flexible.
Forth - Absolutely great entertainment! Of course we have the New Dimension Chorus singing at 11:30am! At 3pm Molly's Revenge takes the Stage. This band is one of the most energetic Celtic Folk Bands in the world! We are honored and blessed to have them playing at the Relay! (Note for Molly's Revenge - I AM PUMPED!) You definitely want to tell your friends to come and take part of this exciting group! Gary O then takes the stage at 6pm. Gary's brand of 50's 60's, and 70's songs is eclectic and exciting.
Finally - MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Join us - will ya! It is going to be a great day!
Kevin P. Smith
