Hi everyone -- I wanted you to know that Annie (Adrienne) Stringer
and I once again wrote about our impressions of the AVSA Convention,
this time, of course, in Baton Rouge. We had a lot of fun doing it,
and next year in Tucson, we'll probably include more photos. If
you'd like to read it -- and be prepared because it's 14 pages long -
- go to the AVSA website, or click on this link:
Go halfway down the page and click on the "Report on 57th Convention
and Show" link. We hope you enjoy it.
While you're on the AVSA site, we'd like to invite you to surf
around! The website is chock FULL of great resources and
information. Jim Owens is a great web master. The site is very
intuitive and easy to navigate. Be sure to check out the "AVSA
Library" page for helpful examples of other affiliates' yearbooks
and show scheudles as well as slide shows to order. Looking for a
fast answer to a question? Look in the FAQ page. There's plenty of
information there on every aspect of African violets. Or, what
about a commercial link? Click on "AVSA Vendors" and take a look!
Or maybe you haven't joined AVSA yet -- then click on "Membership."
You won't regret that investment because you'll get six issues of
the very best horticultural magazine around -- African Violet. And,
of course, there are always the "Photographs." I've spent many an
hour looking at all the lovely pictures there and adding to my wish
So, if it's been awhile since you've looked around, I encourage you
to take another peek!
See you in Tucson!
(soon to be relocated in Northern Florida!)
