One - Reflective Teaching - is used heavily in teacher training programs in the UK.Charlot recommened the book: Readings for Reflective Teaching by Pollard
"Readings for Reflective Teaching offers 120 key readings on contemporary teaching, learning and professional development. The collection is intended as a resource for busy teachers, mentors and trainee teachers who appreciate the value of educational thinking and research, and who wish to have easy access to key parts of important publications. The book offers selections from many classic publications, but it also provides an opportunity to 'show-case' some of the excellent educational research that has been conducted in recent years."
Charlot says "Because of the way they are presented you get to concentrate on
the gist of the paper, without getting lost in all the nitty-gritty of the
research itself. It does not deal with Art education directly, but with
broader issues in education, most of which can be very easily applied art
Those of you needing to come up with research topics may want to see if your university has a copy of this book. It is more readily available in the UK than in USA.
