a Montessori upper elementary class of 24 students grades 4-6.
I have posted the artwork on facebook.com/juanita.bellavance
and you can see it without joining or friending me at the links
below if you are curious.
I got this idea on Artsonia from Susan Rother. It took some
of them from February until the last day of school to finish
This next one was an idea from Artsonia but was done on construction
paper there. The first student to do his rolled his eyes about the construction
paper idea so I changed the medium to muslin...
This idea was on artsonia also, but I simplified it a little and it was still
extremely challenging to do with watercolor... only five students finished
every project we did beginning in January. These are the five...
Another idea from artsonia. Since their class studied the continent of Africa
we made these Nigerian type drums. We had worked on clay technique already
before Christmas break.
Weaving looms were an artsonia idea, but with my own twist to it...
This was my own idea for the art show fundraiser. All were framed for the show.
Their pottery creations using all three hand building techniques...
Thanks for all the ideas and inspiration. I will be teaching lower elementary and
upper elementary art next year and can hardly wait. I'm going to use the salt
on watercolor ideas you all have been discussing here for one thing!
