It was a sad moment for the country when Shri Shinde had to withdraw his statement about sangh pariwar terror, in the pretext of his wrong choice of reference as Hindu terror. The entire body of evidence gathered by the investigation agencies and civil society will go unused again, and the country is to suffer more of Malegaon, Mecca masjid, Ajmer……and investigations will reach nowhere except putting some innocent citizens in jail. It is shocking that the investigation agencies feigned ignorance until one of the accused Asimananda, in a rare moment of repentance, chose to confess to the twin terror…bombing people and then putting the blame on the victims.
Chidambaram also had spoken early in his tenure as home minister but the harangue that followed forced him to give up too. While the sangh parivar unleashed a virulent campaign against Shinde, the Congress looked the other way except for some rare bold voice. The Congress has already merged with the ideology that befell Gandhi. The civil society also did not give the deserving support to Shinde. The startling truths like in the book of Subhash Gatade abt the Sangh terror (link below)
May we be saved from terror, religions, fanaticism….and an impending fascist order.
