Good afternoon Lady Fionnghuala,
Thanks for getting back with me so quickly.
First I have three questions:
1. How long are the shifts at gate?
2. What does the Gate Captain do at the table?
3. What do you mean that the Gate Staff 'sign the cars in'?
I'm sorry to need details about these duties, but I will be explaining after I hear back from you on this.
I live in Bremerton, and my sister lives in Silverdale, so we have been told that it is approximately 3 hours to Sedro Wooley. We plan to be there at 8am when the
gate opens for the volunteers, so we will be leaving our area around 4:30am.
I have been in contact with HL Bryson regarding volunteering and I know that he has mentioned needing help with setting up signs and borders.
He also mentioned that His Excellency, Arontius, may also need help with setting up the merchant areas, and we would love to help with those areas
when we first get there.
I look forward to hearing back from you so I can finish what needs to be discussed about Gate duties.
We are doing gate a little different. We have two positions. Gate Captains, that stay at the table and Gate Staff that go to the cars to sign them in. Sounds like you'd be great for Gate Captains. We are opening gate at noon for merchants on Friday and 7 to 9 am on Saturday, depending on numbers. How early is early for you? You want the very first shifts, Noon, Friday and 9 am Saturday?
Thank you for your willingness to help.

I have emailed back and forth with HL Bryson and he told me that he had let you know that my sister, Lady Anya MacLachlan, and I will be wanting to volunteer for gate.
We would like a couple of shifts on gate on Friday and Saturday if we could...an early shift both days and then maybe another shift in the afternoon sometime.
I am a truck driver in the modern world and am not home real often so I am unable to take the class, but I have done gate and worked a cash box for the last 2 years at Ursulmas for the Barony of Aquaterra and I have been approved to do the cash box for our Barony (Dragon's Laire) as I did go over what they were going to be presenting at a class that was needed for June Faire.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
