A former Los Angeles county firefighter from Woodcrest convicted of
beating his neighbor's puppy with a rock was sentenced today to three
years probation, 90 days of weekend jail time and 400 hours community
service working with canines.
His attorney said they would appeal the verdict.
Glynn Johnson, of the Woodcrest region south of Riverside, apologized
to the Toole family for the beating death of their 6-month-old German
