Looks like Martin's email must have been hacked. Some computer robot appears to spam others email. I do hope Martin rejoins the Ancient Waterways. I hope that Susan please stay with AWS through these difficult health times. I appreciate your contributions and interconnection of the group that you are a founder of. Anything difficult is worth doing.
Also thanks for the kind thoughts about Shari and My first born daughter, Rebekah.

First of all, Pam...it was wonderful hearing from you and thanks for posting at the group. Personally, if I were not still ill, I'd find a way to get to Glasgow and meet you and the group there. What a deal. I have always hoped a third Atlantic Conference would be held---this time within the Orkney Islands. In Halifax, I heard such a rumor, later read that a previous Sinclair-St. Clair clan conference had been held there and that there were strong ties to the clan, Henry Sinclair the explorer who sailed to North Americasa century before Columbus...or the later Sir William Sinclair connected with Roslyn Castle. I shall it up to see if my facts are incorrect. Re: the invitation Pam sent, I looked up the currency exchange and see this, which does make it a very, very inexpensive trip which includes accommodations:
.....the exchange [US dollars : GB Pounds] ...rate goes up and down rapidly and currently one United States dollar equals roughly 1.67 pounds.
I I sent an email to one of our longtime members, Martin Carriere after inadvertently banning/removing/blocking his email address after another Spam message came in today. Last week's unintended message apparently contained viruses or threats that some of your anti-viral equipment sent strong warnings. So today's I too-quickly tried to ban/block/remove the Spammer email addrss and out went Martin. I hope, Martin, you will re-join as you are a wonderful member who sends beautiful poems, prose and encouraging words to so many here.
My apologies. I shall contact host MinnesotaStan to see if anything can be done to reverse my actions. And so Martin can rejoin under the same YahooGroup email address.
I just finished chemo which I was told was not very successful. Am awaiting surgery after I get strength back in a month if the anesthesiologists will do it. Am only getting 45% cardiac output for some unknown reason and need to get clearance or treatment by a cardiologist first. I probably should resign as a co-host soon. Do not want to make more mistakes at the expense of this group but am not doing justice in serving the needs of the membership. I am and have never been a 'researcher', but have been acting as PR person, greeter, and one of the orginators. Will have to discuss this with the other co-hosts and host.
Congratulations to co-host Vince Barrows and his wife Sherry for the birth of their first born daughter last month. I just saw it on Vince's Facebook where he and other researchers and friends correspond frequently. I agree with Jamie a lot of Spam/viruses come from Facebook and I shall not insert Facebook links here any more, but I do access it from time to time because it is the predominant intercommunication device of dozens of members here at AWS. And the only avenue for many, many of my family, members, old classmates, and other researchers. Nothing seems very enduring there, and most of it is chat that flies by, but I would otherwise never have contact with some of these folks, otherwise. It coast me $150 to have my computer restored in Chicago and those viruses apparently did come from Facebook, but via my AOL email addressk.
Again, Martin, my apologies and I shall scan and paste this to you in an email. Please sign on again soon as I get your email address unbanned. If more Spam comes into our group's Posts via that email address, I wait and ask the host to deal with it.
