A bit of housekeeping: We've experienced a couple of problems with
"spam alerts." This system is designed to detect duplicate messages
and to send an alert to me asking for resolution. I think the problem
stems from someone accidentally sending the same message twice...or
what looks like the same message.
So, just a reminder to be careful with the "Send" button.
Also, I generally prefer to "cut" the original message that appears
when I post a reply. The length of many messsages is such that the
extra material can overload some e-mail systems, including mine. I had
to dump over 200 messages this past weekend to stay under my 10 MG on
Speakeasy. This takes time and I cannot always stay on top of it with
the high volume of e-mail that I receive. My daily volume from many
sources sometimes tops 100 messages.
I am asking eGroups to let me know if we can get a default "blank
screen" for replies. That may or may not be possible. So, could you
do us all a favor and "cut" the original from the reply screen before
you write your response? If you are responding from your own e-mail
system, just say "no" when asked if you want to include the original in
