Proposals are now being accepted for papers and sessions to be presented at the 2003 Alabama Studies Sympsoium to be held in Montgomery, July 18-19, 2003. The Symposium is designed to feature the results of recent research by humanities scholars engaged in the study of the cultural, political, economic, artistic, and social history and material culture of Alabama. This symposium is jointly sponsored by the Friends of the Alabama Archives, the Alabama Department of Archives and History, the Alabama Historical Commission, and the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
