Sr. Project Manager PLM Implementation
Overall project management responsibilities for the development and deployment of
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) at the company level.
Applies program management methodology and technical expertise to lead the
implementation and ongoing support of PLM processes and technologies. This job
requires the ability to identify, recruit and manage resources, delegate tasks to team
members, effectively and clearly communicate project status to executive steering
committee, manage project risk, and monitor business change readiness as well as
conduct post implementation audit reviews. Oversees all aspects of project and program
information including timelines, resource allocation, scope, costs and definition. Provides
oversight to global team resources across the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties of this position include:
Develop, manage, and organize business project schedules/activities
Develop and manage to major project and program milestones
Prioritize, delegate and monitor key project and program activities resolve all issues
Manage program risk through issue identification, team meetings and development and
implementation of alternative solutions
Identify, assign and manage project team members within a matrixed environment
Communicate project status to team, management and customers on a regular basis
Identify and drive business change management
Lead requirements gathering exercises for new and existing initiatives
Understand and provide leadership to improve overall PLM processes
Proven success managing large (8-12+month) projects within cross-functional and
Proven ability to manage program and project risks and recommend solutions
Proven ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost/resource constraints
Excellent knowledge of the product development lifecycle
Proficient at managing multiple simultaneous efforts
Ability to develop and maintain relationships within cross-functional teams and
Ability to perform, present and garner support for business analyses to identify process
improvement opportunities and to develop and implement new strategies utilizing
industry best practices
Excellent communication, leadership, documentation and presentation skills
Thorough understanding of the NPO/Materials business processes
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree preferred in Engineering (Mechanical,
Industrial), or Engineering Management
Supply chain experience preferred, Agile implementation experience
NPI experience required (Operations or Engineering), outsourced and/or global
