The length of time it takes to deliver an email is not dependent on whether you are a Plus user or a free user. I find that Yahoo often has delays in receiving and sending emails. It is very annoying especially when you tell someone you are sending it right then or you are expecting it. At one point I was forwarding my Yahoo mail to my gmail account and I would get messages 2-3 days after they were sent. It was like they were floating out there in limbo for days. I've not experienced any delays from Gmail but I prefer the yahoo interface despite its little inconveniences.

Subject: [Y-Mail] Delay when sending email from one Yahoo user to another.
A friend of mine who also has a Yahoo! Mail account
sent me an email. We were talking on AIM, and he said
he sent the email and asked me to check if it arrived
yet, and it took about 17 minutes for the email to get
to me from the time that he sent it. I'm a Plus
subscriber, he is not.
Being a Plus subscriber, shouldn't we get faster email
deliver when it comes to email being sent to us from
Yahoo Mail users compared to the users of the
free/ad-supported Yahoo! Mail? There's no reason email
from two users using the same mail service should take
*that* long to transfer!
