Thanks for the good news on the 94 repeater situation, Al.
Thanks also for helping spread the word about the Michigander in mid July.
More to come as the time gets closer.

For all users of the 94 repeater. Please keep these dates in mind and keep
an ear open. As the new antenna and feedline is still being "beta" tested,
I would appreciate feedback on how it performs.

You are most welcome to use the repeater for your event. All MAARC
repeaters are open repeaters. You will also find coverage has improved
dramatically with the new antenna and feed line now at 370 foot height. Our
444.550 UHF machine is now back in service and provides 5- 10 mile hand held
coverage, feel free to use this as needed when you are in the local area. .
Both machines are 94.8 PL. Good Luck.

My name is Tom Behler, and my amateur call is KB8TYJ.
I am writing on behalf of the Michigander Bike Tour, which will be coming
through your area during the week of July 12--18, 2008.
I will be serving as main net control station for the bike tour, as it
traverses the entire planned route from the Walker/Muskegon area to
During the week-end of April 26--27, I and several other fellow bike tour
hams did a repeater coverage test run through the designated route, and
found the 146.940 repeater to be extremely useful as a possible
Therefore, we are wondering if you could grant us permission to use the
146.940 repeater as a back-up net repeater when we are in your area?
Even though we would like to use your repeater for back-up net
communications, we will always respect the fact that it is your repeater,
and assure you that your usage needs will be given precedence at all times.
Both I, and the organizers of the Michigander Bike Tour, would appreciate
a response to this inquiry at your earliest convenience.
In addition, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
If you want more information on the Michigander Bike Tour itself, go to:
