The Rock Creek Singers, under the direction of Dr. Thea Kano, a select, spirited, 24-voice ensemble of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington that performs a growing repertoire of a cappella and accompanied classical and contemporary music for audiences throughout the national capital region will perform a benefit performance of their spring concert, "Classical Four" on Friday evening, April 8 at 8:00 pm at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 1820 Connecticut Ave., NW.
All proceeds of this special performance are for benefit of Charlie's Place. Charlie's Place is an outreach ministry of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. The program works with the homeless population of Washington, DC, assisting and empowering individuals in the areas of physical and mental health, nutrition, employment, housing, education and other important linkages and services. The Rock Creek Singers with their special guests, The Lyra Chamber Ensemble, will offer their regularly scheduled spring concert on Saturday, April 9 at St. Margaret's at 8:00pm.
Admission for the benefit is $20 with all funds going directly to Charlie's Place for continuing support and expansion of the breakfast program.
St. Margaret's is 3 blocks north of the Dupont Circle metro stop, Q Street exit. Off street paid parking is available across the street from the church at the Washington Hilton Hotel garage.
