Welcome aboard! You will be relieved to hear that we 1812'ers, like
most other period groups, hold interventions at almost every event.
They are usually held around the campfires on Saturday evenings.
While they do little to assauge our reenacting affliction, they do
allow us the opportunity to rationalize our addiction! Beware,
though... I am told that certain folks are known to serve gunpowder
mixed into various alcoholic beverages, and that this is calculated
to intensify our psychological reliance on the hobby. I don't know
whether this is fact or fiction, but at least it gives us something
to blame our condidtion on...
