Orders of Dress
Saturday, officers are requested to wear Undress, suitable for boatwork: unlaced uniform coats, epaulettes optional, white duck trousers, waistcoats left off if wished, swords and canes left off, round hats or summer straws, haversacks as per Marines for personal items.
Sunday, officers are requested to wear Full Dress as far as their kit will allow: uniform coats with epaulettes, breeches and hose, swords and decorations (if any), canes if wished. Flag Lieutenants for Squadron and Flotilla exempted.
b. Warrant Officers and Seamen
Saturday, Warrant Officers, petty officers and seamen to wear Summer/Tropical dress as far as they may have it: Summer Straws; waistcoats left off if desired; white duck trousers; shirts open at the neck and neck cloths loosely tied in square knots.
Sunday (until Noon), Warrant Officers, petty officers and Seamen to dress as per Sunday Divisions: Summer straws or round hats, or tarpots; waistcoats, if had; white duck trousers; shirts secured properly and neck cloths worn 'close up'. Warrant Officer or petty officers with cutlasses and carriages to wear them if practical. All to revert to Summer/Tropical at Noon.
c. Royal Marines/R Nfld Regt.
To turn out as the Officer of Marines shall direct, consistent with the duty for that day.
