I'm Ben Lublin, the new Chief Engineer for this semester of Studio A. It's been brought to my attention that people have already begun to not do their part to take care of the studio when they finish using it.
When you finish a session in Studio A (or any studio for that matter), you want to leave it as you found it, or better than when you arrived. This means you normal the console and any outboard gear you used, you put away the cables in both the tracking room and control room, you wipe off any names you wrote down on the channels on the console, etc. It is not the job of the engineer on duty in A to clean up your work.
With that out of the way, I hope everyone who is new to A can enjoy it to it's greatest potential and all returning students using A get the opportunity to do new and exciting projects! If you have any questions or problems that need resolving about the studio, feel free to bring them to my attention.
Also, be sure to fill out an Engineer Report when you finish a session! It's a simple form just saying whether or not the engineer did his/her job + any other comments you want to make on there.
Have a great semester,
