Just following up with this.
AUDI3300 still has only 2 people signed up. At this rate it will be cancelled for the spring. I really need to know if you are interested in it but have problems with registration.
There is also the opportunity for an independent study that we have had each semester for the past 4 or 5 semesters.
In the spring there will be the opportunity for 1 - 3 students to participate in an independent study worth 3 credit hours. The study will take place on MOndays and involves setting up and assisting in the operation of live sound for the Jazz Studies Programs Monday Night Concert Series. This semester we have had the opportunity to work with some great local talent and some great national talent. Our national level performers included Mike Metheny, Erin Bode and Steve Kirby. Each concert features different professional performers. This opportunity allows the students to not only learn more about mixing but to learn about interacting with performers and how to fit into the production team in varying situations.
Any one interested in either course please let me know.
