If you want to learn a trade, any trade, you have to be
willing to invest some
of your time and effort, even if it is for free at times.
The person that puts out the little extra effort to be the
best, usually is the best.
You can have a Masters or even a PHD degree. But if you
really don’t care about
the job or the people involved you will never be worth very
much at all.
That only comes from with in and how much you want to master
it and be the
best you can be and maybe just a little bit better than most
others as well.
You only come away from any learning experience is with the
effort that you
yourself are willing to put into your own development. Many
times you will
find the only way to get such an experience is to work for
free. Just so you have
the opportunity to learn something you want to learn if for
no other reason than
your own curiosity or to know something others may not have
the chance to learn.
While there is nothing wrong with a formal class and
learning out of a book at all.
I would rather not go to a doctor that has never served an internship
he is going to do his first real practice on me. That is how
they truly become real
doctors on top of med school. Mastering audio is much the
same thing, except the
stakes are a little lower as you will not have to bury any
of your mistakes.
