As far as I know, no group is being eliminated.
Webster Audio is specific to current Webster students and deals with academic issues for them.
AES Stlouis is primarily current Webster students and alumni.
AES Pro is primarily the local professional audio community in the St. Louis
There is certainly some cross-over between these groups. Even worse, there are facebook pages and blogs on websites. Different people like receiving information in different ways, and while it is redundant at times it is the only way to reach everyone. Streamlining would be nice. Towards that goal I use Tweedeck now, so I can post simultaneously to Twitter, my fb page, and any other fb page, such as the AES pro page. Tweetdeck also allows me to check all these streams in one place, which is very convenient. Of course these posts do not reach any blogs.
Since my request to join Webster Audio was denied someone may wish to repost this there for the sake of clarification.

Too many groups too check and/or too many emails about the EXACT same thing.
Just to be clear...which group was being eliminated?
aespro OR aesstlouis?
Everyone (including myself) is sending the same messages to THREE different groups and it's getting a bit frustrating and I'm sure people don't know which one to best respond to.
WEBSTERAUDIO should be just for Webster related items regarding school issues. CORRECT?
If you have audio news or other items, please post to the other groups......whichever one that may be.
This stuff really needs to get streamlined.
