It was proposed that we hold a fundraser beverage booth at the Lake Superior Renaissance Faire. The both fee would be $35 and the proposed beverages would be prepackaged drinks such as sodas, water, juices, diabetic friendly drinks such as diet sodas and milk. Possibilities for other beverages include crystal light and kool-aid single serve powder packets, but we need to look into the whole re-sale aspect of it. We would render the most profit buying our beverages in WI as there is not bottle deposit. Volunteers from our group would run the proposed booth. JP volunteered to run the booth both days all day if he was an expendable volunteer. The only way we would run the booth is if faire volunteers are available/expendable to run booth. Tina is still working on the schedule for the faire volunteers. The proposal passed with 9 votes yea and 3 notes Nay.
Lenore has asked to deal with the Ironwood Globe as Tinas attempts to have the typo that appears in the calendar section corrected. Perhaps someone else can convince the writer to put up what we ask them to and leave out the renaissance group bit. The idea was approved by the group. Lenore will also have the ad pulled until a later date and perhaps find another way to get our group into the paper in another section.
