Thanks to everyone who brought food and games, Kimberly and Pete for Haste
Worte, Kimberly and Pete's friends for the special "Pete-centric" round,
Kimberly (again) for helping with the grill, Marc and Arlene for the gifts (I
am about 5 behind), and everyone who came and helped remind me why I allow so
many people into my home. I hope all had as much fun as I did (except for
the poker tournament where once again I was reminded how it is better to be
lucky than good).
Congratulations to Pete for winning the Poker tournament (Happy Birthday! I

Surprisingly, we made it through the weekend without a single game of
either Celebrities, or Cosmic Encounter (No Rick, no Mark, very little of Aaron -
and no major push from Jerry this time), but there were plenty of other
Shadow Hunters, Biblios (do all the copies smell so bad?), Castles of
Burgundy and Seven Wonders were among the most played games, and it was nice to
drag out some old classics like Why Did the Chicken? and Niagara.
Bad timing as the 2nd set of BUZZ controllers glitched on Saturday, but
thanks to Vitas, they are now back up and rinning.
I am very happy with the new space - with the extra game room and the
theater, it never really felt crowded, though if I had to do it again, I probably
would have extended the kitchen a bit. And the theater made a great staging
area for the party game (though cramming nearly 50 people in there probably
violated some sort of fire code).
It's down to the wire for a new name for future events. The top two
vote-getters were "Game Daze" and "Framingcon". I will likely throw this out for
one final vote right before the next event.
Anyway, that's it for now. FRAGS continues to draw around 15 or so people
each Thursday, and all are welcome to attend.
Hope to see everyone again soon.
