Amnesty Youth Activists!
It's that time! Apply for the Youth Activist Kollege 2005 Planning
As part of the YAKPC, you will have the opportunity to kick your leadership
skills up a notch by planning and implementing a national summer human
rights camp for 50 Amnesty activists. Members of the YAKPC are
up-and-coming AI youth leaders who have not yet had big time leadership
opportunities. If you are interested, you should be an AIUSA activist with
experience planning and leading activities and you must be able to:
**Work independently and as part of a team.
**Commit up to 5 hours per week working on the Kollege.
**Energize and lead a group.
**Attend YAKPC meeting in Washington, D.C. (Friday evening, April 1 ?
Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2005).
**Attend YAK (arrive Tuesday afternoon, July 19 - Sunday afternoon, July
**Participate in conference calls every other week and every week in July.

The deadline to apply is February 25, 2005.
Travel, food and accommodation costs to participate in the planning meeting
and YAK will be covered for Planning Committee members. AIUSA will notify
applicants of the selection decision by March 11 so travel arrangements for
the DC planning meeting can be made without delay.
