Hola from Tlaxcala, Tlaxcala, Mexico,
We have been in Mexico three weeks as of today. After a whirlwind tour of Mexico city for three days, we settled in at Tlaxcala not far from the Rio (river). We have been walking all over the entire city and have taken a LOT of photos and movies which can be viewed by going to the links at the end of this email. We do not have internet at our house, so it has been a bit difficult keeping up with people. Also, my computer crashed at an internet cafe a few days ago, and I had to reboot it with recovery disks. I lost everything, EXCEPT my photos and videos.
Yesterday, we took a ¨cambi or van¨ to San Pablo Apetatitlan to visit the state zoo. From the plaque on the wall, it looks like it was recently renovated with the help of the wife of the president of Mexico (previous President). The zoo had a large amount of African animals which I have attached. I took many more photos, but the attached will give you an idea of the substantial nature of the zoo.
We don´t know how well attended the zoo is because the last school group to sign in was last October. A school group was present yesterday, however. The animals seemed to anticipate their feeding time, and it appeared they were well cared for and feed. I will try to post more photos on my blog in the near future.
I don´t know if all the photos I attached will get through, so I will try posting now and perhaps send a follow up email with more.
