Amanda Kay "Mandy" Macik, 19, of West passed away Friday october 19, 2001
at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Monday at
St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Mass of Chrisitian Burial
will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the
Assumption with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial wll follow
at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. The family will receive visitors from 6 to
8 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home.
Mandy was born August 27, 1982 in Waco, the daughter of henry J. and Denise
(Carlile) Macik. She was raised and attended schools in West, graduating
from West High School in May of 2001. She was currently a student in the
nursing program at McLennan Community College. She worked at the West
Parkway Day Care Center in West. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's
Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mandy enjoyed taking care of
her son, being with firends and talking on the phone.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry J. Macik and a cousin,
She is survived by her son, Preston Blaine Macik; her parents, Henry J. and
Denise Macik of West; two sisters, Michelle Sembera and husband Brian and kelly
Macik, all of West; her grandparents, Margaret Carlile of Waco, James Carlile
Jr. of Mt. Calm, and Georgia Macik of Penelope; a niece and two nephews,
Brailey, Lance and Hayden Sembera, all of West; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins,
other relatives and many firends.
