Mary Ann Franek of Damon, Texas, passed away November 18, 1998. The last seven and one half years were spent in the special care of Country Village Care Nursing Facility in Angleton, Texas.
The tattered pages of Mary’s family bible are great testimony to her never-ending faith in God. It was this faith that gave her the strength to linger with her children fifteen years after the departure of her beloved husband in March of 1983.
Survivors include her seven children, Nina Boren of Brazoria, Gerald Franek and wife, Loraine of Beasley, Edwin Franek and wife, Joyce of Sugarland, Evelyn Stewart and husband, Barry of Brazoria, Lois Tackwell of Jewett, Ted Franek and wife, Sherry of Brookshire and Iris White and husband, Royd [as printed] of West Columbia. Through these children, she was blessed with 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, 1998, with Pastor Frank Pierce officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 19, 1998, from 2:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Dale Flippo, David Franek, Tim White, Bruce Lincoln, Keith Weiss and Barry Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Franek and Royd White.
Memorials may be made in her name to Central Emergency Medical Service, West Columbia, TX.
