CUERO – Albert L. Gabrelcik, 80, of 914 W. Grand Ave. died Thursday in a Cuero nursing home after a long illness.
Mr. Gabrelcik was born Oct. 5, 1896, in Duquesne, Pa. He was a retired radiologic technologist for U.S. Steel Corp. He was past president of Yoakum Kiwanis Club. Mr. Gabrelcik was past Faithful Navigator at Yoakum Assembly, and a fourth degree Knights of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The Msgr. Henry S. Herbst will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Buffington Chapel.
Survivors include the wife, Mary of Yoakum; a son, Albert of Duquesne, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Michael Curtis of West Mifflin, Pa.; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a brother, Joe of West Mifflin, Pa.
Pallbearers will be members of the fourth degree Knights of Columbus; Joe Brown, J. E. Mudd, Otis Hermes Sr., Joe Abernathy, George Wysatta and Johnny Jiral.
