HALLETTSVILLE – Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from Kubena Funeral Home for Frank Zavesky Sr., 66, of Hallettsville, with the Rev. A. E. Klages officiating.
Burial will be in City Cemetery.
Mr. Zavesky died Tuesday morning after a brief illness.
He was born in Moulton Dec. 6, 1908, and married the former Berd Randow May 11, 1936 in Hallettsville. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the American Lutheran Church and the American Legion, and was a veteran of World War II. He owned a barber shop for many years.
Survivors include the wife; his mother, Mrs. Rose Zavesky, both of Hallettsville; two sons, Frank Jr. of Houston and Byron of Eagle Lake; five brothers, Charlie of Hallettsville, Joe and Johnny of Runge, Victor of Bishop, and Adolph of Goliad; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Zidek of Floresville, Mrs. Bessie Posey of San Marcos, and Mrs. Stella Migl of San Antonio.
