ARLINGTON - Mary Elick "Louise" Foltyn, a retired saleswoman,
died Monday at an Arlington hospital. She was 77.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in
Arlington, where she was a longtime member. Burial will be in Holly Hills
Cemetery in Granbury.
Arlington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Foltyn was born in Williamstown, Mo., and moved to Arlington in
She attended Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., and had been a
teacher in Missouri.
She worked for several years as a saleswoman for Watson's Department
Store and later worked at the North Branch Library in Arlington.
Mrs. Foltyn was a member of the Senior Kitchen Band, the Arlington Senior
Citizens Center, where she was dance instructor, and the Retired Senior
Survivors: Husband, John J. "Jack" Foltyn of Arlington; son, Don O. Elick
of Arlington; stepson, Jerry Foltyn of Long Beach, Calif.; stepdaughter, Bettie
Mehl of Dallas; brother, Newton Ford of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Jean Ford of
Paoli, Pa., and Gladys Loschke of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and
