Ann Mignon Kallus of Rowlett was known for her cooking.
"She was a terrific," said her daughter, Sallyann Anderson of Keller.
Mrs. Kallus' specialties were chicken and dumplings and apricot fried pies, but
she loved to cook many other things too, her daughter said.
Mrs. Kallus, 85, died Monday at Parkwood Nursing Center in Bedford of
complications following a stroke. She moved to the nursing center from Rowlett
21/2 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Lake
Catholic Church in Rockwall, the Shores Country Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of
the Grocer's Association.
Services were held Thursday at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett.
Mrs. Kallus enjoyed oil painting, golfing and gardening, Ms. Anderson
Other survivors include her husband, Fred "Buddy" Kallus of Bedford; two
granddaughters; and three great-granddaughters.
