Funeral services for Frank Opela, 50, former
resident of Port Arthur who died at Kerrville last Thursday will be held at
Kerrville tomorrow, C. N. Bier, local recorder of the Maccabees, of which Mr.
Opela was a member, announced today.
Mr. Opela, a native of Chlebovich, Czechoslovakia,
came to Port Arthur in 1912.
He had been a resident of Port Arthur until about
five weeks ago, moving to Kerrville for his health.
Arrangements for Mr. Opela's funeral were made by
the local chapter of the Maccabees.

C. N. Bior, recorder of the local chapter of the
Maccabees, was making efforts today to contact relatives of Frank Opela believed
living here. Bior was notified this morning of the death of Mr. Opela in
Mr. Opela had been a resident of Port Arthur until
a few weeks ago. He lived here for several years. He had been in ill
health for several years.
Bior said that his lodge policy named a brother,
John Opela of Czechoslovakia, as beneficiary.
Bior requested that anyone who knew anything about
relatives of Opela contact him.
