EDITH MARY ZEZULA YANTA
VICTORIA - Edith Mary Zezula Yanta, "Momo", age 89, passed away
Saturday, March 3, 2007. She was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Runge, to the late
D. H. and Petronila Vyvlecka Zezula.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, Catholic Daughters
of America, KJZT, Our Lady of Victory Altar Society, KJT and TOPS Club.
She was a loving mother to her children, Victor F. (Bernice)
Yanta, Lawrence (Barbara) Yanta, Robert (Donna) Yanta, all of Victoria,
David (Alice) Yanta of Beaumont, Donald Yanta of Runge, Phyllis (Larry)
Leesman of San Antonio, Carmen (Steve) Hanshaw of Sugar Land and Cyndy
(Tim) Legamaro of Corpus Christi. She is also survived by 15
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Bryan, Mary Weiss,
Leona Janysek and Hedy Prokop; and brother, Jerry Zezula. She was
preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor A. Yanta; grandson, John
Yanta; and sister, Genevieve Yeary.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Colonial
Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday,
March 7, 2007 at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Burial will follow at
Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Yanta, Greg
Yanta, Kevin Yanta, Roger Leesman, Brian Leesman, Douglas Hanshaw, Anthony
Legamaro, Adam Legamaro and Alexander Legamaro.
The family would like to thank the staff at Twin Pines Nursing
Home, Hospice of South Texas, and special friend, Kathy McMullen, for the
kindness and care given to their mother.
