Posting to the group as several have commented about these Mikeska's.
Actually, Brett Mikeska, Conroe, TX might have more info than I have
since some are his great grandparents. Info I have is from Brett
Mikeska, who received info and a chart from Dr. Jan Mikeska, Prague,

Subject: [TexasCzechs] 5 Dead Mikeskas in Nelsonville
| Hi All,
| I've got 5 dead Mikeskas in the Susen Cemetery in Nelsonville,
| Co, TX, and no where to put them. 2 indicate they came from
Veronika M., b. Nov 1836 (any idea what her maiden name was?)
| Jiri M., b. Oct 1837
Jiri Mikeska is son of Jiri and Veroniha Pesnick (Jan's writing is
very small and I can not be sure of some of these spellings), both
born in 1811. The chart continues up to Petr Mikeska and Kunhunka,
Veroniha Vela/Rela (1836) is Jiri Mikeska's wife.]
Do now know of the Uhriks, but seem to have heard their name last
Tuesday while in Bryan and being lucky enough to find actual
Citizenship papers of kin in Bryan and Caldwell. Sending copy of this
to Brett Mikeska as he has visited the Mikeskas' in Nelsonville, who
think they might be the last of the Mikeska clan. Ohhhh,
if we got all of them together for a meeting, would have to schedule
1 1/2 years from now - thinks that's the minimum length of time to
reserve the Geo R Brown Convention Center <G>.
| Then I've got 3 Mikeskas buried in the same enclosure with 3
| Jan M., Rozina M., & Rosa M.
| John U, b. 1855, d. 1912
| Frances U, b. 1858, d. 1916
| and Willie U, b. 1899, d. 1994
| Does anyone know the connection between the Uhriks and the
| where the Mikeskas emigrated from?
| Any help greatly appreciated.
Sir John, Earl of Berkshire
