Mary J. Macnak, of San Antonio Texas,
age 86, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2004. She was born October 29, 1917
in Whiting, IN to the late Marie Skurka Poracky and John Poracky. Mary, a
licensed beautician, and her loving husband, Retired Major Joseph A.
Macnak, Sr. came to San Antonio, July 4, 1945. In 1950 they opened Mac's
Flowers which is owned and operated today by their son Glenn Macnak. Mary
was a devoted mother and a devoted wife to her husband for over 61 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Poracky; sisters, Emma
Pers and Ann Vrabel; and granddaughter, Amber Macnak. Mrs. Macnak is
survived by her husband, Joseph A. Macnak, Sr.; children, Joseph A.
Macnak, Jr. and wife, Donna, Glenn R. Macnak and wife, Lucy and James K.
Macnak; grandchildren, Elizabeth Williams and husband, Wayne, Eric Macnak,
Natalie Macnak, Lauren Macnak, Jennifer Mesa and husband, Rick, Nicole
Brown and husband, Howard; great-grandchildren, Emily and Samuel Williams,
Matthew and Jaci Mesa, Treshayla and Bryshanna Brown; sisters, Leona
Zientara and Dorothy Hoover; brother, Dr. Bernard Poracky. Family will
receive friends Tuesday, May 11 from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at Porter
