ADOLPH "A.J." KRAMPOTA, was born April 11, 1925 in Elgin, Texas. He
moved to Houston as a young man, and lived here for over 50 years. After
working 37 years for Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad, he retired. He
was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2917 for several years.
He spent his retirement years enjoying his wife and family and going to
senior citizen activities. He was a "Jack of all trades" and loved fixing,
building things, and barbequing. Hunting and fishing in the country were
also things he loved to do.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emillie, his
sister, Elsie, and his grandson Jason. He leaves behind his loving wife of
60 years, Martha Krampota, his 3 sisters, Lilly Kleiber and husband
August, Francis Rider, Mary Kendziora, his son John Krampota and wife
Sandra, his 4 daughters Mary Byrd and husband Dennis, Dolores Lockhart and
husband Michael, Frances Clarke and Rosalie Pierce. He also leaves behind
14 wonderful grandchildren, Dennis, Jr., Angela, Ronald, David, Roy,
Charles, Judy, Christopher, Jennifer, Charlene, Shirley, Norma, Danny, and
Wesley. There are also 25 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, January 3,
2004 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4419 N. Main St., with Rev.
Stephen R. Horn, celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow at St.
Joseph Cemetery. Grandsons to serve as pallbearers. He will be missed by
