Obituary of Agnes Ondrusek Koliba

Mrs. Ed. E. Koliba, nee Agnes E. Ondrusek, of 105 Koether Drive of
Yoakum died Wednesday morning, April 11, 1979 in a Victoria hospital
at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 14 at the
Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Yoakum with the Rev. Michael
A rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.
Burial was in the Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers
were Eugene Ondrusek, Ronnie Koliba, Virgil Porche, Emil Matus,
John "Bus" Boothe and Ervin Chumchal.
Mrs. Koliba, a longtime former employee of K. Wolens department store
in Yoakum, was born April 16, 1916 in the South Mustang community
near Shiner. One of five children, she was the daughter of Frank
Charles and Mary (Veit) Ondrusek, both natives of the Shiner area.
She was married to Edward E. Koliba and the couple made their home in
the Hochheim community where her husband owned and operated a cotton
gin for many years. Mr. Koliba died June 11, 1974.
Surviving are three sons, Robert L. and Leroy E. Koliba of Victoria
and Marvin C. Koliba of Houston; a brother, Ben Ondrusek of
Sweetwater, and four grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a three-week-old
son, Edward Lee Koliba, May 8, 1942; her father, Sept. 16, 1969; her
mother, Oct. 16, 1961; three brothers, August Ondrusek, June 16,
1958; John Ondrusek, Nov. 18, 1972; and Charles Ondrusek, Aug. 7,
