The lord called "Aunt Emma" home on Feb. 25, 2002 from Victoria,
Texas. She was born in Lavaca County on June 9, 1904. She was a
devoted Christian and served faithfully at Trinity Lutheran Church
for 72 yrs. And an active member of the W. C. L. C. A. organization
where she had a host of friends. She came to Victoria County from
Lavaca County as a babe in arms and grew up on the family farm.
Emma was married to the late Robert G. Mueller on June 15, 1931, and
was the daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Kleiber. She was one of
the nine children. Surviving siblings include: Minnie Henicke of
George West, Texas, Martha Huber and Millie Kutchka of Victoria,
Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased siblings include: Frank and Adolph Kleiber, Victoria, Texas,
Annie Heibel of Victoria, Hattie Post of Cuero and Mary Bone of
Corpus Christi, Texas.
She celebrated 97 healthy years and was ill approximately 2 wks.
prior to her death. She will b remember as an avid floral gardener
and for her unique needlework and quilting.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today at McCaabe Carruth
Funeral Home chapel at 301 S. Bridge St. 361-573-4341. Funeral
services will be held on Thurs., Feb. 28, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at
Trinity Lutheran Chapel located at 106 N. DeLeon at Constitution.
Services will be officiated by Pastor Barney Matocha. Entombment will
be at Evergreen Cemetery beside her beloved husband Robert.
