Henry R. Rummel, 86, of Marlin passed away Sunday January 27, 2002 at a
Marlin hospital. Rosary will be recited at 6p.m. Tuesday (jan. 29) at
Adams Funeral Home Chapel (in Marlin). Services will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, January 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Edelberto
Mesias officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family
visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Rummel was born on July 23, 1915 in Falls County to William C. and
Lizzy Neikamp Rummel. He was a 25 year employee of Langford Motor Company
in Marlin and retired in 1970. He was a member of St. Jospeh CAtholic
Church, the Knights of Columbus and the DAV. He was a veteran of the Navy
and served in WWII.
Mr. Rummel was preceded in death by his wife, Clara KUBIAK Rummel; brothers
Anton and John Rummel; sisters, Matilda Stall, Rosie Swatloski, Elenora Pettelo,
and Bertha Zost.
Survivors include sisters Clara Burnett of Rockdale, formerly of Rosebud
and Lena DeMoss of Live Oak, Florida; nephews, Glenn Woltman of Sugar Land
and Arthur Woltman of Katy.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Woltman, Arthur Woltman, Bill Rummel, Danny
Rummel, Danny Swatloski and John William Swatloski.
Adams Funeral Home, Marlin
