You might also find for the village name you seek in the US Federal Census of
1900, 1910, or 1920. "Place of Nativity/Birth" sometimes, but not always,
included both village and country.

My thought on this would be to find the village that your great great
grandfather lived in and then to request the records for that village from
Latter Day Saints Family History
Center. Since you already know about the marriage of Jan Kapec to Maria
Banyko, you could go backwards to that marriage record at LDS, you could
forward to trace their decendents to your own parents. To find that
you would need to find the church records for the Baptism of the first-born
generation in United States.
