If you take the train between Bratislava-Petrzalka and Vienna the cost is
about 210 SK or about $7 round trip. The train is a modern vehicle and even
when it makes about 10 stops takes less than one hour. I would guess that
the bus might take a bit longer. You can then take a local bus from the
Petrzalka station to Downtown Bratislava for about 15 SK.

Petrzalka is the suburb on the other (south??) side of the
river. Bratislava hl st is, I'm pretty sure, Bratislava hlavna stanica, or
Bratislava main station. The bus line stopped at both Petrzalka and the
main bus station when we took the bus from Vienna airport to Bratislava. I
haven't used the trains. The train station and the bus station, at least in
Bratislava itself (don't know about Petrzalka) are two different stations.
