Location: Austin, TX
Type of Position: Full-Time
Responsibilities will include all facets of archeology ranging from
literature reviews to data recovery. The applicant will work closely
with the PBS&J staff in Austin as well as with PBS&J's staff in
other Texas offices. Applicant will serve as a Principal
Investigator and will conduct archaeological field surveys and
excavations, supervise junior technical staff, and assist with
preparation of NEPA documents, marketing proposals, and budgets.
Applicant will interface with project managers and/or program
managers to receive direction and discuss project criteria and
requirements, and will routinely interface with clients and

other scientists and engineers on a variety of projects from both
government and private industry. Although much of the work will be
in Texas, applicant may be asked to assist other PBS&J offices in

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
M.A. or M.S. in Archaeology, Anthropology, Geology, Geography or
closely related field. Typical candidate has two years' experience.
Experience and knowledge of Section 106 is required. Archeology
experience in Texas is preferable.
Good analytical skills and attention to detail, technical writing,
computer and communication skills.
