May the Departed Soul Rest in Peace
"Then I heard a voice from heaven say, Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." Revelation 14:13
Dearly Beloved in Christ,
It is with deep regret and sympathy that that I join with numerous Clergy and Faithful of the Holy Church in praying for the departed soul of V. Rev. Corepiscopos Paulose Mathenkudyil of Chuvannamannu. I have known beloved Achen from my early childhood. Cori. Achen was a close acquaintance of my late father and a family friend and mentor of my brother in law, Mr. Paulose Poothamkuzhyil, the current trustee of St. George S.O. Church, Chuvannamannu. V. Rev. Corepiscopo Paulose Mathenkudyil, who was popularly known as Chuvannamannil Achen, was instrumental in the landmark efforts of the Holy Church in rescuing and safeguarding the time20tested faith and traditions of the Holy Syrian Orthodox Church, especially in the northern region of Kerala. I have had the privilege to visit Achen, whenever I went to visit my families in Kerala, Jan. 09, being the last. He was sickly for some time, primarily due to senility. I express deep regret and condolence to the bereaved family and pray that the departed soul of this venerable Servant of God may Rest in Peace.
