Having a servant or two was nothing special. Even the wire wrappers, who
were not rich, had them to help the wife, while they were away on tour.
Having a servant does not neccessarily suggest, the person was wealthy.

My Grandmother's maiden name was Predjana and we know they had
servents..Could the town been named after her family? Her father's
name was Joseph . Joseph Predjana's fathers name was Paul. That is
all the information I have.
Joseph Predjana was the town Magistrate. I do not know if he was the
Magistrate of Predjana or another town. My Grandmothers mother's name
was Maria Balar.
My grandparents were married on January 6,1905 at a High Mass.In
Czecholavakia (Austria-Hungry). I do not know the name of the
Catholic Church that they were married at.This is another reason we
belive they came from wealth and owned property because of the 6th of
January being a Holy Day and impossible to have gotten married on
that day.Let alone having a High Mass. At least in the State you
could not get married on Christmas Day.
There names are Andrew Kubancik and Franceska Predjana.
He was born 24 Nov 1881 and she was born 25 Dec 1888.
I know I must be a nuisance, I am sorry, as I hear something new from
my Mom I try to find out more information. I don't know if this
information will help in my search or not.
