Assistant Planner - LSA Associates, Inc.
Location: Berkeley, CA
LSA's Berkeley office is seeking an Assistant Planner with planning
experience (1-2 years preferred), and a BS/BA in urban planning,
environmental studies, or related field.
The Assistant Planner will provide support for a variety of planning
projects, primarily CEQA and NEPA analyses (e.g., Initial Studies and
EIRs). Under the direction of a Project Manager, the Assistant Planner will
conduct research and site surveys; analyze a project�s consistency with
planning policies; compile and analyze data (e.g., demographic, public
utilities, public services); and draft technical memos, staff reports,
and/or topical sections of documents. Some assistance with data input for
traffic, air, noise and climate change analyses may also be requested.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and
ability to thrive as a member of fast-paced teams are essential.
