Transportation Planner - Marin Transit
Team-oriented and self-motivated? Marin Transit (San Rafael, CA) has a
full-time opportunity for an entry-level professional to perform transit
planning and analysis, assist in program implementation, and coordinate
operations with partner agencies and contractors. The Transportation
Planner will have an important role in supporting Marin Transit’s mission
of delivering public transit services within Marin County.
- Collect and analyze data for transportation and transit planning;
conduct program implementation studies; identify issues and improvements
and make recommendations to management
- Prepare and present reports to a variety of stakeholders regarding
transportation and transit issues
- Maintain compliance with various grant reporting requirements
If you have a strong technical background in transportation
planning/management/engineering, effective oral and written communication
skills, and excellent interpersonal skills, we’d like to hear from you. A
year of transportation planning experience is required and a Bachelor’s
degree in a field emphasizing transportation planning is preferred.
Graduate level coursework may substitute for up to six months of the
experience requirement. Master’s degree in urban or transportation
planning and/or public policy is also desirable.
Pay ranges from $4583-$5000 per month, depending on qualifications.
