As any of instructor Steve Coleman's current and former students' know, ITE
(Institute of Transportation Engineers)offers free student memberships.
They hold monthly luncheons throughout the Bay Area, and the topic is always
a highly relevant subject in current transportation planning.
(The lucheons aren't cheap for 'regular' ITE members, but for us students -
This month the presentation will be by the Bay Area Water Transit Authority
- only the second transit agency in the Bay Area to be authorized directly
by the state legislature (everyone knows the first one, right?).
WTA will discuss their plans for a new and expanded ferry system.
The NOVEMBER 21 (Thurs) luncheon, 11:30 - 1:30, will be held ON-BOARD A BLUE
& GOLD FERRY at Pier 39, SF.
