Clove Lakes Park 4:30-7pm
I have the same basic bird species report as everyone else with the same arrivals.
In case they stay overnight:
FLICKERS all over the woods (20)at Royal Oak; flushed out of every good hiding spot next to trail
CHIPPING SPARROW (11) at Royal Oak lawn near fire tower
BLUEBIRD (2) at million tree site below fire tower
[NO YB Spsuckers today]
PINE WARBLER (4) -possibly same one as yesterday near large wood chip pile up the slope from red bridge -- one RUBY CROWNED KINGLET (3 total)!in same location, plus HERMIT THRUSH
SWAMP SPARROW (1) at horse trail next to stream
PALM WARBLER (11) most concentrated in woods adjacent to Martling sledding hill
And of course GOLDEN-crowned KINGLET (75). As others have said it's difficult to remember or imagine a day with more of these aerialists. What a treat!!
Still many PHOEBES too.
