I'm presenting these two programs on how to make kimchi and pickles at the San Francisco Main Library. See dates below. Hope you can come. It's free and there will be samples and a recipe given out.
Kimchi on Thu. Oct. 17, 2013, 6:00-7:30pm
Hyunjoo Albrecht, who sells her Sinto Gourmet vegetarian kimchi at the Civic Center & Stonestown Farmers Markets, will give a talk about the benefits of kimchi and then give a demo on how to make cucumber kimchi.
Pickles on Wed. Oct. 23, 2013, 6:00-7:30pm
Karen Solomon, author of Jam it, Pickle it, Cure it will give a lecture-demo on how to make pickled vegetables. Karen's latest series of books focus on Asian pickles.
Both events are free and take place at the SF Main Library, Latino/Hispanic Community Room in the lower level.
