Thanks for letting me know about the non-working links I had in my previous message re: Dr. Robert Lustig's talk on the dangers of sugar at the Main Library on April 9.
Here's the announcement and correct links.
Can sugar threaten your health? Dr. Robert Lustig, Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Division of Endocrinology; Director of the UCSF Weight Assessment for Teen and Child Health (WATCH) Program, says it can. He calls sugar one of the major causes of obesity and chronic metabolic diseases.
Come hear him speak about his new book: Fat chance: beating the odds against sugar, processed food, obesity, and disease on Tue. April 9, 2013, at 6pm at the San Francisco Main Library, Koret Auditorium. A book sale and signing follows the program. Admission is free.
If you need more info, feel free to email me at janet.tom@...
These links should work; I tested them, but backup info just in case:
Dr. Lustig interviewed by Michael Krasny on KQED FM Forum on Jan. 28, 2013, at 9:00 am, otherwise:
If you'd like an e-card or flyer, please let me know..
Hope you can attend and thanks for spreading the word,
