Well of course proper nutrition is the long term best approach, but far from
only trreating symptoms, vitamin C treatment will eliminate almost all the
Candida your currently have. But Candida is everywhere and you will
recontract it if you don't make dietrary changes. It certainly is a matter
of eating right and building up your immune system. But there's no need to
continue to suffer with the infestation as you switch to a sound diet.

Greetings to my friends at SF LiFE!
I agree wholeheartedly with Dave Klein. The vitamin C "cure" may ameliorate
candida SYMPTOMS, but if we continue to CAUSE the condition each and every
day by our food choices, then we haven't really accomplished anything, have
Candida is NOT caused by sugar in any form, be it fruit, refined white
crystalline powder, Rapadura, Twinkies, or agave nectar. It is caused by FAT
in the diet. The same is true of the other blood-sugar metabolic disorders,
like chronic fatigue syndrome and diabetes. If you want more information
about the connection between dietary fat and blood-sugar problems, you can
read Dr. John McDougall's most recent (July 2006) newsletter. Or write me
and I'll send you an email that contains several studies and articles that
say the same thing (Duke University, Millersville University, WebMD, Science
News, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and more).
OR, you can pick up a copy of Dr. Doug Graham's new book on the low-fat raw
vegan plan, called The 80/10/10 Diet, due to be released this fall (visit
> www.FoodnSport.com for more information).
If raw fooders eliminate all fat (nuts, seeds, oils, olives, coconuts) from
the diet for a few days, their candida would be gone, as sure as mushrooms
in your lawn disappear when the winter rains stop feeding them.
THEN, once the candida is not being CAUSED anymore, if we maintain a healthy
low level of fat in the diet, the candida will not return. The same cannot
be said of the "eat-fat-and-take-vitamin-C" plan...that's the road to
If anyone is curious, a 10% fat diet, for someone eating 2000 calories,
would include ZERO oil, and maybe 4 ounces of nuts/seeds a week *OR* 2
medium avocados a week (not both).

Vitamin C pills and diarrhea is not a cure for candida -- it¹s a quick fix
which does not eliminate the cause which is a too-high-fat diet. Stop
eating all fatty foods for a week, eat all raw juicy fruits and veggies and
the candida will mostly or totally go away. Or do a water fast and get
complete rest for 1-3 days.

Hi, You take enough vitamin C that you start to get diarrhea and then you
back off a little. Typically this is something like 4 grams an hour.
The yeast should be dead within two or three days.
